About the role

To support our live events team, we are currently recruiting an Event Co-ordinator to be based in the Keswick office.   As Event Co-ordinator, your main responsibilities will be;

  • Collaborating with the Director of Events, and Event Managers
  • Support with the concepts, design and gathering of information for proposals
  • Preparation of proposals
  • Communicating with clients, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations
  • Maintain and manage client relationships to the expected high standard
  • Collaborating with the wider CBA Events team
  • Understanding of our wide and varied range of services
  • Planning and preparation of event material
  • Preparation and upkeep of event function sheets
  • Liaising and negotiating with suppliers
  • Maintaining and management of supplier relationships
  • Support the live events team with accommodation, travel and logistics planning
  • Maintain effectively and accurately our CRM system
  • Maintain up to date and accurate event booking information
  • Prepare and keep up to date event accounting information
  • Manage enquiries and confirmations for CBA Events @ Graythwaite
  • Support the Marketing team with material, as requested
  • Preparation and upkeep of general office systems and procedures
  • Being a significant contributor to the Business Development team

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Ideally some experience in an event co-ordination or a PA role
  • Excellent team player
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • A good understanding of standard office systems; word, excel, power point and ability to learn new systems
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own working day
  • Ability to meet deadlines when managing various stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, of various sizes, on an ongoing basis
  • Proactive, flexible, analytical and strategic thinking
  • An excellent eye for attention to detail and high accuracy levels
  • Enviable track record for being organised
  • Ability to negotiate
  • Be reliable
  • Keen to learn and evolve

Job details

  • Employment – This role is a temporary position, to cover maternity, for a fixed term
  • Start date – October / November 2019
  • Hours – general hours are Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
  • Salary – £18,000 – £20,000 depending upon experience
  • Benefits – 20 days holiday + statutory Bank Holidays. Statutory sick pay.  Pension scheme.
  • Potential for longer term employment in an ever-expanding company
